When you use Chemhelper, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.
- NMR input data: Spectrum text you submit for processing. This data is used solely to provide the service and may be logged to improve the tool.
- Usage history: If you are signed in, your processing history is stored so you can review past results.
- Log data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Chemhelper service.
- To authenticate your account and manage your session.
- To store and display your processing history when you are signed in.
- To improve the accuracy and performance of the NMR processing tool.
- To respond to support requests or inquiries you send us.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- When required by law or in response to valid legal process.
- With service providers (e.g., Cloudflare) who assist in operating the platform, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Chemhelper uses browser local storage to retain guest history (NMR results for users who are not signed in). Signed-in sessions use secure cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
- You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
- You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Guest history stored in your browser can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Chemhelper after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
