By accessing or using Chemhelper ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Chemhelper is an NMR spectrum processing tool designed to assist organic chemistry students and researchers in verifying NMR and HRMS data consistency. The Service is provided for educational and research purposes only.
3. Use of the Service
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
- You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
- You must not submit data that infringes intellectual property rights or contains confidential information belonging to a third party without authorisation.
- You must not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Automated or bulk use of the Service without prior written consent is not permitted.
4. Accounts
You may use the Service as a guest or by creating an account. If you create an account:
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Yee Lin Phang (Eleen) and Khai Jiet Liong and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any results obtained from it are accurate, complete, or reliable. Results from Chemhelper should not be used as the sole basis for scientific conclusions and should always be verified by a qualified instructor or researcher.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yee Lin Phang (Eleen) and Khai Jiet Liong shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to errors in NMR processing results.
8. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modifications, suspension, or discontinuation.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
